start off by…

  1. Peeling off the labels – if you mix coconut oil and baking soda to make a paste, spread a thick coating across the label and wait 10-20 minutes, the label peels right off!

  2. Take apart the bottle so all pieces are separate.

  3. Put all of the bottle parts into a bowl of Epsom salts. Fill each bottle up with salt and cover all the bottles and each cap. Let the salt soak up all the oil for at least 24 hours.

  4. Fill up a sink with super-hot water – I make it so hot I can barely touch it. Do not add soap. At this point, you can add some alcohol or vinegar to the water or the bottle if you are concerned about getting all the residue out.

  5. Begin emptying all the bottles of the salt. It is okay for residue to stay attached, it will come off in the water. Put the bottles and parts in the water, and let soak for 30 minutes.

  6. Place them upside down on a towel to dry. Once dry, your bottles are ready to reuse!
